1/Out Patient care

NHIF, Private Insurance, Walkins
Hospital runs 24-hour outpatient services in the New Wing of the Hospital. The services include medical, laboratory, radiology (Xrays & emergency Ultrasound / CT scan) & pharmacy.

During the day time 0800 – 2000 hrs, there are at least 3 to 4 medical officers available for consultation on walk in basis on the first floor of the new wing.

From 2000 – 0800 hrs there is one medical officer available for walk in consultations. 

2/Specialised Clinic

Following out-patient specialty services are available from 0800 to 1600 hrs (Monday to Friday) and 0800 to 1300 hrs (Saturday)

  • Internal Medicine 

  • Endocrinology / diabetes 

  • Pediatrics

  • General Surgery 

  • Gastro-enterology including endoscopies & laparoscopy

  • Orthopedics & Trauma 

  • Obstetrics & Gynecology including laparoscopy & Fertility clinic   

  • Ophthalmology  

3/Visiting Consultants

The Hospital provides various other specialist services by visiting consultants from Monday to Friday (from 1600 hrs ) and Saturday (from 0900 hrs) which include:

  • Dermatology

  • Cardiology 

  • Orthopedics & Trauma

  • Spine 

  • Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT)

  • Urology

  • General Surgery 

  • Obstetrics & Gynecology 

  • Pediatrics

  • Internal Medicine 

  • Vascular surgery  

  • Nephrology 

  • Opthalmology

The visiting consultants / specialists can be seen by booking prior appointments at the Reception Counter of the First Floor – New Wing.

4/Public Health Programs

The Hospital participates actively in the public good programs as designated by Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly & Children (MoHCDGEC). These include:

  • Reproductive & Child Health Program (RCH program) including vaccination 

  • TB program 

  • HIV/ AIDS program - CTC Clinic, PMTCT services, VCT services  

  • Cervical cancer screening

The Hospital also provides following services:

  • Comprehensive diabetes education & counselling services  

  • Comprehensive nutrition counselling services for clients with chronic renal diseases, cancer, obesity & nutritional deficiencies 

The Hospital provides the above services from 0800 to 1600 hrs (Monday to Friday) and 0800 to 1300 hrs (Saturday).

5/Heamodialysis

The Hospital has a state of art Hemodialysis Unit. It is spread over two areas: one 6 bed unit is located on the ground floor of the old wing and has isolation units for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, HIV/AIDs and now COVID19. The other unit is opposite the Eye Unit and has 15 beds.

The Hospital is one of the very few Hospitals with Hemodialysis Portal in the ICU which can be used for critically sick patients in the ICU as and when required. 

The services are provided all the days of the week based on the scheduled appointments. In an emergency, the services are provided at any time of the day or night irrespective of the day of the week.

6/Eye Care

The Hospital provides comprehensive eye services which include diagnostic, therapeutic & surgical. We have a full time ophthalmologist available by appointment from Monday to Saturday during office hours and there are two visiting ophthalmologists available in the evening hours after 1600 hrs from Monday to Friday and from 0900 hrs on Saturdays.

The Hospital also provides full time optometry services.

The eye diagnostic services include:

  • Optometry

  • Slit lens examination 

  • Field of vision 

  • OCT (ophthalmic computerized tomography)

  • Intra-ocular fundal angiography 

  • IOP

Therapeutic services include:

  • Yag laser

  • Green laser 

The Eye Unit has a dedicated operation theatre for minor and major surgeries including laser for cataract surgery.   

7/Dental Care

The dental unit provides outpatient services from 0800 to 2000 hrs (Monday to Saturday). Clients can be seen by booking prior appointments or as walk in patients.     

8/Physiotherapy

The Hospital provides comprehensive physiotherapy services. The unit is open from 0800 to 2000 hrs (Monday to Saturdays).

9/Maternal & Child Health 

Location: Out-patient services on ground floor along the India / Nyanza Street 

In-patient services:   First floor , Old wing  

This department includes:

  • Outpatient: Obstetrics, Gynecology, Fertility  

  • Ante – natal care

  • Post-natal care 

  • Vaccination program

  • Prevention from Mother to Child Program (PMTCT)  

  • In-patient services: Obstetrics, Gynecology, surgeries (minor & major)   

There are three full time Ob/ Gy specialists who run outpatient clinics   Monday to Saturday and can be consulted by prior appointments or as walk in (subject to their availability).

10/In-patient Wards

Inpatient ward is situated on the second floor of the old wing.

It admits medical, surgical and pediatric cases.

Visiting Hours: 

11/Emergency

The Emergency Department consists of 3 bed Casualty & 5 bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU). It is located on the ground floor of the old wing.    

It provides comprehensive emergency and critical care services and has two full time emergency physicians / intensivists assisted by senior medical officers.
